September 13th – 9:20-10:20 am in Fellowship Hall
Children age 3 – Grade 6 (and your families, and everyone, actually!): Kick off the year with some music, meeting your teachers, eating some good food, and a very cool service project called Socks of Love. Wear your “God’s Work, Our Hands” shirt and if it’s too small, bring it back and exchange it for another size.
For the service project, we will be putting together little care packages to give to people experiencing homelessness. We will assemble them together and you’ll take them with you and be prepared the next time you see someone on the side of the road. We will provide the socks; bring things to include and share in the care package, such as: bottles of water, snacks like nuts, crackers, granola bars, lip balm, travel sized toiletries.
Come join us as we kick off our choir season! On Saturday, September 12 all our voice choirs will rehearse at Grace. This fall, adult choir will hold an extra rehearsal on the Saturdays the kids usually rehearse: the Saturdays before the second Sunday. Childcare will be provided for those not singing age. Our Children’s choir (Grades K–4) will be directed by Stefan Wolf, Youth choir (Grades 5–high school) will be directed by Eric Vollen, and our Adult choir directed by Stephen Self. There will be fun, snacks and lots of music. Please contact Joey Wehrman with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have a great line-up of books this fall! All books will be on sale Rally Day at our Fall Bookfair. We will also have a couple available in our little Grace library for formal check-out (as in, you’ll have to sign-up and return them in a timely manner). Start reading any time!
