Prospects for Afghanistan and Pakistan
Major internal conflict has plagued Afghanistan for four decades. The United States has conducted military operations there nearly continuously since 9/11. Today, war with the Taliban persists, and relations between the U.S. and Pakistan continue to deteriorate. What is the current policy of the Trump administration toward this troubled area? Can we expect to see progress or do we face a no-win situation there? The speaker is Gary Prevost, professor of political science and international relations at the College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University. Please join us! Contact Janet Jacobson at email@example.com with questions.
