Bringing songs for comfort and healing

“GraceSing” is a form of music ministry at Grace, open to all ages and musical abilities. We sing hymns and simple songs of comfort and healing for people facing difficult times—in the hospital, facing a difficult diagnosis, coping with loss, transitioning to hospice or in their final days. We may also surround people in joyful transitions—welcoming a new baby, blessing a new home or the like.
We gather the third Sunday of each month, 12:00-1:00 pm in the Peace Chapel. In our time together we sing and we take time to reflect on the blessings that come through song, both for the receivers and the singers. When we are invited to sing for someone, 4-6 of us who are available go to their residence and sing as a small group. Requests come through the pastors or parish nurse.
