Small Group Gatherings

Barb laughingWe worship together, but we also gather outside of worship time to share food and stories, ideas and laughter. Please contact the church office at if you wish to learn more about any of these opportunities.

Men’s Breakfast

Men are invited to meet the second and fourth Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. at the St. Clair Broiler in St. Paul, at the corner of Snelling and St. Clair Avenues, across the street from Macalester College. These informal breakfasts are a fun way to connect and discuss the issues and happenings of the day.

OWLS – Older Wiser Lutherans

People of all ages (we say “older”, meaning “older than birth”) gather at the home of Peggy and Richard Anderson Mann on the second Tuesday of the month at 1:30 pm (September-May). We begin with Bible Study, and conclude with a sit-down tea that includes delightful conversation and delectable treats. Kitty Anderson is the host for OWLS.

Bible Study

A bible study focused on the text for the coming Sunday meets the first, third, and fourth (and fifth) Tuesdays of the month at 1:30 pm in the Peace Chapel (September-May). Tea is set on the table, along with openness to the questions and ideas of others.

Book Group

Grace Reads Book Group is simply a gathering approximately once a month, September-May, to which anyone is invited to participate. Books are announced 1-2 months ahead of time, and are usually available for sale in the church office. Book groups may sprout up at other times as well; check announcements for other discussion opportunities. Read our Fall 2015 book club picks!
