Grace is a Peace Site

We follow the Prince of Peace in a troubled world. Where there is injustice and oppression, we seek liberation. In our worship, prayer, study, and life together, we strive for peaceful means of living out the gospel.

From the Peace Sunday liturgy

Leader: Christ has come to bring peace anchored on justice and genuine love, to offer us renewed vision of transformed persons and communities.

Congregation: Christ calls us to become channels of peace based on justice.

Leader: With open eyes, let us seek truth...with eyes of love, let us perceive the suffering of people in all nations and claim their aspirations, their struggles, and their victories as our own. Let every fiber in our bodies become strings of harmony, devotion, and commitment to the dreams and vision of all struggling people.

Congregation: God, make us channels of your peace.

Leader: In humility, let us commit ourselves to the pursuit of God’s promise of life abundant, life with dignity and worth, life with justice and peace for our brothers and sisters in our neighboring countries and cities, who amidst their pain and suffering, continue to hope because they struggle.

Congregation: We offer ourselves to always seek peace and affirm justice for all people; choosing struggle rather than indifference; choosing to be friends of the earth and of one another, not enemies; choosing to be peacemakers rather than peacekeepers; choosing life, not death, for all creation.
