We worship together, but we also gather outside of worship time to share food and stories, ideas and laughter. Please contact the church office at info@graceattheu.org if you wish to learn more about any of these opportunities.
Men’s Breakfast
Men are invited to meet the second and fourth Saturdays at 8:30 am. (2nd Saturday at Elsie’s Restaurant, 729 Marshall Street NE in Minneapolis — 4th Saturday at Bakers Square, 2239 Ford Parkway in St. Paul ) These informal breakfasts are a fun way to connect and discuss the issues and happenings of the day. Interested in the Men’s Breakfast regular gatherings? Want to just try it out? Pastor Dan emails a reminder ahead of time – join that email list by signing up here.
OWLs (Older Wiser Lutherans)
People of all ages (we say “older”, meaning “older than birth”) gather at the home of Peggy Anderson and Richard Mann on the second Tuesday of the month at 1:30 pm (September-May). We begin with Bible Study, and conclude with a sit-down tea that includes delightful conversation and delectable treats.
Bible Study
A bible study focused on the text for the coming Sunday meets the first, third, and fourth (and fifth) Tuesdays of the month at 1:30 pm in the Peace Chapel (September-May). Tea is set on the table, along with openness to the questions and ideas of others.
Retreats
Women’s retreats, men’s retreats, and couples’ retreats are offered throughout the year. We gather at retreat centers, such as ARC Retreat Center and Heartwood Retreat and Conference Center, away from Grace for a time set apart to rest and renew, reconnect and reflect. Check announcements or contact the church office to learn about upcoming retreat opportunities.
